Life is What You Make It

There are some who say that life is life, it is meant to be lived and there are some things human beings are not meant to do. Yet dreams, inventions, discoveries, and mysteries still exist. To think that this is all that life has to offer, that you cannot have an increase, is preposterous, at least for those who choose to have it that way. This is inspiration of the power of the mind and body to become something you never have before. This is not about inspirational quotes, this is about discovering something you have already thought of before.*

About

PNI meets the Arts is about my senior project as well as my graduate studies and personal interests. My BS is Alternative Medicine with an emphasis of PNI and a minor in Art.

I used to be an art major and decided that although I love art and every minute of it, there were some facts stopping me from making a career out of it. First, all I can do with a master's is teach. Second, I am not famous and do not have my art work and name out there so doing it as a career will be even harder. Third, why pay money for something that just requires practice?

So, I resorted to my hobby and interest in the herbs and holistic healing. Looking into the subject and courses that could apply, it required a lot of medical knowledge and biology. I did not mind biology, I actually like it. However, seeing things and wanting to understand things from not a Western Medical view, it made things difficult. I tried it anyways and decided that I would have to learn on my own in that field.

Then, during one of my health practice courses, I became acquainted with PNI. From there, I started to think more and more about all the possibilities and then started researching my new made up major.

That is when I found it existed and chose to pursue graduate studies in Expressive Art Therapies to become a registered therapist.
